A New Day

He awoke in the New Year and proclaimed, “behold, the futurity is now!”

He then realized he was naked. And at work. And in love.

This was all OK, he thought. In fact, it was super.

“Behold! The futurity is nude! And lovely!”

He was fired immediately because his boss, who happened to be the person he was in love with, did not love him back and in fact did not even like him at all. Especially in his nude state.

He put his clothes on and wandered out onto the cold city street. Someone tried to sell him a calendar. A 2023 calendar. He bought it.

“Why fight the past?” He thought and kept walking. It was a New Year, you know. –TK
